About Us

Classic Park is home to the Lake County Captains. Since its opening in 2003, Classic Park has become known as one of the most intimate and fan-friendly parks in the minor leagues. Constructed by the city of Eastlake at a cost of approximately $20 Million, the ballpark combines the nostalgic charm of Classic Park with the fan-friendly amenities of the modern sports facility.

Classic Park grants unobstructed views of the playing field for well-over 7,000 fans. Festival seating on a grass berm above the outfield wall and standing room area in the wide, airy concourse that surrounds the main seating bowl, allows for crowds in excess of 10,000. The upper deck of the stadium features 20 party suites, including The Officer's Club, which accommodates groups of up to 50 persons. Picnic areas on either end of the main concourse are capable of hosting groups of up to 400. Ample parking surrounds the facility on both the east and west sides of Ohio 91 (SOM Center Rd.).

The playing surface at Classic Park is second to none in all of baseball. The field was voted as the Best Playing Surface in the South Atlantic League in 2003, 2004 and 2007. Other features include a 4,000-square foot indoor batting facility with two full-sized batting cages. The main clubhouse building is located beyond the right-field corner and houses both the Captains and visiting teams. Each clubhouse features offices for the manager and coaching staff, a training room, and laundry facilities.
