Willoughby Tree Lighting Ceremony and Miracle on Erie Street
Willoughby Tree Lighting Ceremony and Miracle on Erie Street
The 48th Annual Tree Lighting will take place on Thursday December 1st at 7:00 pm in downtown Willoughby. The event kicks off with the 3rd grade choir from Grant Elementary singing traditional Christmas songs. After the choir performs, Mayor David Anderson flips the switch to light up the entire city from Wes Point Park down Erie Street to Third Street. It is an amazing sight to see the city go from complete darkness to a beautifully lit array of colors. Shortly following the lighting Santa Claus comes down Erie Street heading towards Wes Point Park and the Gazebo. For families and the kids, there will be rides in Santa’s sleigh. Look for the Chick Fil Christmas Cow, as he will be walking around with his friends. All the restaurants and shops will be open that evening for shopping and dining.
