Are you new to the field of grantseeking? Are you an experienced grantseeker looking for a refresher? Discover what funders are looking for in nonprofit organizations seeking grants and learn how to find potential funders in this newly revised course that combines elements of both the Foundation Center's "Grantseeking Basics" and "Introduction to Finding Funders" classes. You will learn the 10 most important things you need to know about finding grants, including: Who funds nonprofits and what their motivations are What funders really want to know about the organizations they are interested in funding How to identify potential funders and make the first approach How to conduct online grant research Please note that this program will also include approximately 30 minutes of hands-on, guided instruction in online grant research. It is advisable, but not necessary, to bring a laptop/tablet for this portion of the class. Capping this valuable session will be an interactive discussion with outstanding panelists who will offer both the grantmaker's and the grantseeker's perspective.
